A message from our Pastor

WE ARE COMING HOME!!

Journey Church Family,

We are excited to announce that we are making plans for us to gather again, on campus, for weekend services beginning Sunday, June 7th!

After much prayer, conversations with our church board and local Pastors, as well as considering state and local guidelines, we are moving forward with a church wide roll out of relaunching our campus for ministry.

Here are a few specifics about what that will look like!

JOIN US ONLINE
If you are not ready to join us in person, or if you are high risk, join us for online services on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Thursdays at 7 p.m. at any of the following online platforms:
Church Online, Facebook or YouTube.

ATTENDING OUR CAMPUS
Regularly scheduled Sunday service times, 9 & 11 a.m. & our 6 p.m. Spanish service will be held weekly, beginning
June 7th! We are preparing for your homecoming by ensuring our facility will be sanitized between each service and by providing plenty of space for you and your family to experience a safe and sanitized environment.  You can count on being welcomed in a very friendly, “contact-free” way, and we guarantee that services will most definitely be as exciting and passionate as ever!

WHAT PRECAUTIONS IS JOURNEY CHURCH TAKING?
We are strongly discouraging anyone who has been sick, exposed to sick people, or experiencing symptoms of sickness from attending a physical gathering until it is safe for them to do so.

The entire facility will be professionally cleaned and disinfected prior to June 7th, and during our services we will provide attendants who will be cleaning all restrooms and high-traffic areas thoroughly and periodically between uses.

We will not be currently offering food or beverages during any ministry activities on site.  This is following recommendations from the CDC and state officials.

Our seating will be a bit more spread out than usual.  Seating will be situated in a way that will accommodate comfort of attendees, and safety for all who are present.

Our services will be “contact-free.” If it’s your preference you can potentially come in and leave without physical contact with a single person or object.

We welcome anyone who chooses to wear masks or any other personal protection equipment, but we do not plan to require volunteers or staff to do so.  All staff and volunteers will be considerate by following “contact-free” protocol and we also ask that each attendee respect the wishes of those who are “contact-free.”

We are strongly encouraging vulnerable people, those with underlying health conditions, or anyone who does not feel comfortable in a larger group, to continue joining us for church online only at this time.

EXPERIENCE COMMUNITY
Journey Life Groups will be hosting a summer semester during June & July!  If you’ve yet to join a group, where you will find a loving community in which to grow in relationships and in your faith, join one today by clicking here or by clicking on our church app under “get connected.”

KID’S MINISTRY AT JOURNEY
All Kid’s Ministry services will be postponed until further notice.  We encourage children to join their parents during provided services at this time. We are reviewing CDC guidelines to better serve us in the protection of the most precious among us, and when ready we will open our kid’s ministries again.  We will be providing online content for families to grow together during this time!

MID-WEEK MINISTRIES
(ALL MID-WEEK MINISTRIES WILL FOLLOW THE SAME SANITIZATION AND SAFE SPACE PROTOCOLS AS WEEKEND SERVICES)
  • Celebrate Recovery will resume Monday night meetings on June 8th at 6:00 p.m. Kid’s Place and Dinner will not be resuming during this initial relaunch.
  • Youth Ministries will be resuming in-person gatherings the week of June 7th.  Follow our Journey Youth Life Facebook or Instagram pages for more detailed information.
  • Senior’s Gatherings will be postponed until further notice.
  • Life Groups will be gathering in homes across the Valley on various days of the week for an exciting summer semester in June & July.
